Madeleine is from Seattle, WA, and graduated from Goshen College with a degree in Social Work and a minor in Deaf Studies (American Sign Language). Madeleine joined The Shalom Project because of the opportunity to connect (and make friends) with other Shalomies and have the chance to explore a new city. She also heard fantastic things about The Shalom Project from past Shalomies, so she knew she would most likely enjoy her time in Lancaster! Madeleine’s placement is at Church World Service (CWS), working with refugees. In her free time, Madeleine enjoys reading, singing, dancing, trying new places, watching movies and TV shows, and hanging out with friends and family (and dog!).
