Participants

  • Cerys grew up in Wales in the UK, but her family is originally from Lititz, PA. She is interning with Friendship Community in the Heart Gallery/Studio, and is really looking forward to being able to share the love of art and faith with the community.

  • Iha comes to The Shalom Project from Indonesia through Mennonite Central Committee. She enjoys writing, playing guitar and singing, and loves animals. She attended seminary in Indonesia and plans to become a pastor. Iha is interning at Garden Spot Village.

  • Logan grew up in Elizabethtown, PA and recently graduated from Messiah University with a degree in psychology. He will be interning at Church World Service during his Shalom year due to his passion for service and desire to help better the lives of others. In his free time he enjoys reading and watching hockey, and is looking forward to getting connected within the city.

  • Lydia is from Lancaster, PA, and recently graduated from Goshen College with a double major in History and Secondary Education. She is excited to be working with Mennonite Life and Demuth Foundation to connect her passion for history with her desire to partner in making the field fun, community oriented, and accessible! In her spare time Lydia enjoys thrifting and making jewelry. She is glad to be back in Lancaster to reconnect with family and old friends, and hopes to gain many great new friends too!

  • Sara Poiry grew up in Graytown, Ohio and graduated from Bluffton University. She studied Graphic Design and Media Production. Sara is working with the Bookmobile of Lancaster County. She is excited to help bring books to those in nursing/retirement homes and other communities while also doing some graphic design work. Sara loves to read and create art in her free time.
