Nathan has been the director of The Shalom Project since the program launched in 2015. Prior to that he was employed as a pastor and completed a Master of Divinity degree. Nathan enjoys accompanying Shalomies as they build community, seek peace, and discover the connection between vocation and service. He lives in Lancaster city with his spouse Kate and two daughters, and also thoroughly enjoys songwriting, woodworking, and being active outdoors.

Alysha works to build Shalom Project connections and manages the program’s finances. She graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Christian Ministries in 2020, and after college joined The Shalom Project as a participant. Her Shalom year was a meaningful and transformative experience, and she feels very fortunate to be able to continue her involvement with the Shalom Project, inviting others to experience God’s peace through community and service.
