Connection Developer Job Posting

The Shalom Project is seeking a part-time 8-12 hour/week entry-level position. The Connection Developer spearheads recruiting efforts for the program, and supports several detail oriented tasks related to finance such as book keeping.

Job requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, experience recruiting or tabling preferred.

Position Responsibilities

Recruiting

  • Plan classroom and chapel visits on college campuses

  • Schedule 5 - 10 recruiting fair trips for both the fall and spring semesters in coordination with the Executive Director

  • Send monthly MailChimp emails to students

  • Reach out to student and or professor contacts before a visit to their school

  • Reach out to faculty about advertising application deadlines

  • Send 10 Handshake emails a month

  • Input college contacts into Salesforce and Mailchimp

Administrative/Financial

  • Track receipts, expenses, payments, and donations through software tools such as Quickbooks, Salesforce, Paypal, and online banking

  • Write donation thank you letters

  • Open and process mail. Share with Executive Director if necessary.

  • Manage tax and insurance payments. Respond to emails related to nonprofit compliance.

  • In coordination with director, support the planning of the mid and end-of-year retreats, and fundraiser meal.

  • Post one to two social media posts per week.

  • Manage other financial and administrative tasks as needed.

Seminars

  • Attend one or two seminars/month. Seminars are offered to participants every Friday afternoon to connect them with guest speakers from the community.

Qualifications

  • Prior recruiting experience preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and background working with youth or young adults preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with bookkeeping or financial management (QuickBooks preferred).

Compensation & Benefits

  • 8-10 hours/week

  • $17 - $21/hour

  • $7000 - $11000 / year

  • Flexible work schedule
